I have done this twice and remained on the sero $30 plan. The last few times I did it they did not ask me to upgrade the plan or anything like that, I just got the phone and never activated it.

I went the Cowboom route and picked up two used Marquee's there. Just upgraded from SERO to SERO+P without any problems. 888-788-4727 waited for 30 seconds for a CSR. All is done within 3 minutes.
