Having just used a "real" fire extinguisher (wife turned on the wrong burner and left pizza boxes on the stove), the "less mess" sounds nice, The powder inside dry-type extinguishers goes everywhere....

Was thinking of this for the car, but consumer reports recommends you carry: 1A10BC or 2A10BC. This is an A,B extinguisher (doesn't do C type fires). Just an fyi.

If you don't like the idea, come up with one better. Foam is a good way to put out most fires. Messy but works. If you don't like it, keep water near every place a fire can possibly break out..oh...

I never saw anyone in the video use a tiny fire extinguisher. Quite the opposite, the first nitro strike one was huge and the second was a long hose. The product in the video is not the same...

Yeah that strikes me as a bad idea. If your car catches on fire, I suggest you exit the car rather than trying to extinguish the fire.

Fair question - 'real' extinguishers are more than $5 each. We have 3 around the house; 1 in kitchen, bedroom, and garage. I bought this deal so I can have at least something in each of our cars too...
