To save a few bucks and be in mid strip I would recommend Flamingo. Smack dab in the middle of the strip, more modern rooms, and cost affordable. Besides, your friends kids wont know the difference. ...

Agreed. Also look at TI (Treasure Island) and Harrah's. Both in ideal locations on the strip within your budget. Since you're going during the middle of the week deals will be fairly easy to come by....

venetian/palazo suites easily sleep 6 people. about 200 per night. Great place to party. plus if you call the front desk, they can get you into Tao nightclub.

If you are looking for the slickest deal, I recommend Hooters Casino. It is next to MGM grand and I have seen rates as low as $20 a night. It is a mediocre hotel, but has a decent pool and hooter...
