It can get most of the network channels but they are streams of local stations from various cities. So, for example. your CBS channel might be the CBS stations in Nashville and Phoenix.

Roku will stream mkv files. But it sometimes can not do subtitltes with mkv files if you have them. Roku is much better than Streambaby if you have a Tivo.

Ok.. that helps.. if the unit itself doesn't take batteries, then they MUST be including power adapters. I just try not to assume too much when buying refurbs. Thanks for the usb info as well.
