they still do full backlit LED is WAY better than any edgelit Full array give you shadow detail and black levels of plasma Color accuracy and off angle viewing is still an issue though...

I disagree, when Fry's says "Major Name Brand" it is usually Samsung, LG, or Panasonic. I dont think it has ever been a discount brand like Colby or Westinghouse. This looks like a good deal.
