I've had a seagate for 10+ years so far. Transferred it from one computer to another with no problems. Actually all my HD's are seagate. Guess it's just the luck of the draw.

The drive inside is the same 7200rpm they make for internal applications, so makes me wonder WTF the reviewer was doing only getting about 20% of the performance on the drive.
