The WD black 1tb 64mb cache drive is about the same speed as the high end seagate barricudas of the same size. I say high end because there are several, at least 3, maybe 4 or 5, different model 7200...

I have an older version of this drive and too be honest im not that impressed. Its is noisy, slower than my samsung 5400 eco drive (maybe due to platter size?). I honestly dont know why its so slow....
