Alternatively you may want to look into the XZ-1 from Amazon that's still available... If you don't mind the sacrifice in size, it'll produce fabulous if not better images as well.

No, S100 is generally a downgrade from S95.

Link It's been $290 a couple times before from "big value inc" via eBay (an unauthorized retailer)... I think this price is pretty good for an authorized dealer

It was a FP deal ages ago. You won't find anything close to it new, chances are it may come back for ~200 refurb from the Canon store though like it did last month.

S95 has sharper image quality so there isn't much if a point unless you want the GPS and fancier features this one has... I'd say it's not worth the extra money though.
