The Costco chest has fewer (11) but deeper drawers. It would be good for large items.
If the quality is similar I think I would chose the Kobalt (20 drawers) since I prefer not stacking tools on...

i went to go check it out but they lowes didnt have it on display. i know the costco one is rock solid and well built, not like that craftsman ones that feels like sheetmetal.

Looks like the Kobalt weighs about 60 lbs more and is only 1 " deeper. Height and width are the same.
