I know winter would destroy them up here in MN. Water freezing and thawing, expanding, ... I could see these lasting a few years in warmer climates, or used in a covered area.

Love these shelves. Super easy to put together and very sturdy for what they are. Would not recommend for heavy loads (garage shelves) but anything household will be just fine.

If you're getting this from the store, go to your local post office and pick-up a moving form. There is a 10% off Lowe's coupon inside it which the HD will honor with no problem.

Sweet. Bought 6 for the garage. Tons in the Dallas area.
Bought one at the only store near me that showed any in stock and got a cancellation e-mail shortly thereafter. Oh well, thanks anyways OP.

Fair enough. Going into a dark nasty basement = cheap rules, in a more visible area I might throw more at them

I just read your signature line -"I'm losing money if I don't buy it." I can't stop laughing! Too true. yeah - for garage/basement storage, cheap wins.

I got this exact setup from Sams Club for $100. The bins are good for organizing small stuff, but if you want to store bigger tools then you'll find that the height of each rack is a limiting...

Does anyone know what the final height between shelves is? I went and ahead and ordered two since I have other stuff. But I wanted to make sure the plastic totes I have would actually fit between...

If you're store states out of stock online, go check in person (or call). When I went to pick the shelves up, I found out that they don't list the correct quantity online. Say they have 10 in...

Thanks for the link. That unit is so much smaller than the one in this thread. The one in this thread is very sturdy. The shelves are reinforced, not simply empty space under the place where you...

FYI, today is the last day to use that $50 off $100 contractors coupon if any of you still have it. I almost forgot, so was searching on HD and found these shelves.

I have some on my deck. Water won't hurt them, Shelves are vented so water won't puddle on them. But I suspect UV rays will eventually distroy them, but you should be good for many years.

nice price. these are handy for storing stackable bins and still having access without de-stacking. these are plenty durable for this purpose, real metro shelving is probably overkill for this use.
