^This. This is what I normally do with boots. Most boots I buy are usually this way and thicker socks makes a big difference.

Be careful. Amazon reviews of the boot show real, almost universal sizing problems, split opinions whether it's too short or too narrow for the designated size or both. Some are saying order 1...
