Also wondering which model Benq 120hz you have and for how much. I have one already and have wanted to get another.

Can anyone confirm that the DVI cable included with this monitor will be sufficient for 120hz? I'm reading that you can't get 120hz over HDMI.

I'll go as far as to say that this is the worst display that I've ever used. It doesn't really excel in any one area. The first thing that I noticed was that input lag. This display as around...

Can anyone recommend me a good monitor that's 24". my only requirement it that it needs to have hdmi. I don't have need for 120hz or 3d.

the difference is yours isn't 120Hz and 3D like the OP one is. standard LCD's like that are 60Hz and non-3D. definitely worth an extra $40 for the extra Hz alone, the difference between 60 frames per...

So confirmed no 120hz through HDMI with this? Gotta see if I've got a dual-link DVI cable. I'm assuming the one that comes with it is just regular DVI? Do you use this for a monitor or more...

You seem to have a slow response system. Get this monitor and learn something.

I'm on the fence as well... I would rather have a 27-32" 120hz 1080p display than this 24... but the price is right.........

It was a decent monitor, but I would be careful. I bought that monitor and had some trouble with it. Whenever there was black or dark colors on the screen I heard an audible buzzing noise. I looked...

It is important to note that this display is REAL 120Hz, not the "120Hz" of a television set. 120Hz computer monitor > 120hz television set.
Post #54784322 added 11-14-2012 12:26 PM by digaphobia in Archived Deals
Yes, you're right. This display takes a real 120hz signal. But still, for me, this isn't good enough for what is essentially a temporary purchase.

Is the 1920 x 1200 > 1920 x 1080 a bigger loss than upgrading from 60hz to 120hz? Same size monitor mostly for gaming. Backed by i5-3570k, 8gb 2100mhz ddr3, gtx680.

So question -If I wanted to play say... Black Ops II 3D or Killzone 3 on my xbox or ps3, would this monitor be suitable? I read the posts that say HDMI can't do 120 Hz so for console gaming...
A really good one that I know of that is 120hz/3D monitors are the benQ monitors. However, they are in the $400+ price range. Also, I cannot agree with you how much MORE smoother 120hz is compared...

This should be FP. The price difference between this and any other 120hz monitor is between 100-200%.

WARNING!!! I bought this because it states it 120Hz. HOWEVER , it's not like a 120Hz TV. Normally it works at 60Hz. The 120Hz is mainly for 3D viewing. You can put it into 120Hz mode but then the...
This monitor is absolutely unsuitable for 3D console gaming. Here's why: 1)The 3D imaging is being rendered through NVIDIA 3D Vision and not through the monitor's proprietary hardware itself....

For the record, got the monitor yesterday. Disabled overdrive and enabled 120hz in my NVIDIA control panel. I then was in awe simply moving my mouse cursor around the screen. The smoothness was...

Which is a pain in the rear if you plan to use 3d vision. That also doesn't get rid of the input lag or improve image quality. This display also performs very badly in 3d. It ghosts a lot. Quite...

That is only 60hz. The major selling point of the OP's model is 120hz. There are just about no 120hz monitors that are below $350.
The consensus among the 3D vision community is that this is one of worse when it comes to input lag. Manufacturer's claim about response time is worthless because there is no measurement standard...

Sounds good to me. Thanks :) Just can't imagine the poor fools using HDMI thinking they're running 120hz.

I asked a friend who bought one a few months ago. I also looked on several forums and didn't see anything suggesting that the included cable is anything other than dual-link. Not to mention the fact...

For 3D, though, the refresh isn't as big of a deal, because the IPS monitor is a PASSIVE 3D setup, whereas this monitor is an ACTIVE 3D setup. 120hz is desired in an active setup because you are...

Yeah. If he's looking at that monitor strictly for 3D, it's a different story. Depends the ground he's asking for the comparison on.

For me, IPS passive 3D is a conundrum. You get much better color reproduction but only half the pixels for 3D content. The million dollar question is this then--does the better color reproduction...
