The CREE T6's max output lumens is 975 lumens at 3000mA, so in such case, the rated value 1000 lumens make sense. Of course, you can not expect just use a low voltage to expect a high output...

Agreed. I see no ANSI or OTF(out-the-front) lumen rating, only their "manufacturer rating" from a Chinese company which would never lie to boost sales.

My gripes with the Ultrafire brand are mainly that I never knew if the "protection" circuits would kick in when they needed to & the stupid short lifespan especially if used in multi-battery lights....

junk! there is no standard way of measuring lumens. 1000 lumens in one brand could be equivalent to 100 in another. this is a POS 10 dollar flashlight.
