The reason this tv is thicker than other LED's is thats it's a direct light LED and not edge light. It says so right on the TCL website. This should give it better screen uniformity and less light...

i've heard 60 Hz true refresh, and 120 Hz with some coolmotion software BS crap, and 120 Hz true refresh with 240 Hz rigged, but never 60 Hz true and 240 Hz..... so confused.

Hopefully that is true. My eyes can't keep up with higher refresh rates...... The Hz rating and response time are not related. They are totally two separate specifications.
