Well, that's the motto you go by, but don't misunderstand mine. I did not tell him "get the best you can BUY" and to run out and get the best that money can buy. "Get the best you can AFFORD" means...

As I posted in the earlier thread, I recommend avoiding this discontinued and problem-prone drive to get the next generation of their hybrid drives on a deal instead. I have both generations. This...

For those wondering about how Newegg ships these drives. I got mine yesterday. Their packaging has really improved. Before, they were just wrapped in bubble wrap and tapes. Now they are shipped in...

Will this only work with a laptop? Or can I put it in my PC?
Post #54881978 added 11-17-2012 11:06 AM by anhxeom in Archived Deals
They are 2.5" drives so they made for laptops. You can use them in desktop PC, but you will need a 2.5" to 3.4" bracket like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817997013

Purchased one of these a year ago, it failed within 3 months. RMA'd it, and the replacement failed within 6 months. Quick drives at a good price, but not worth the headaches.

Any second drive is less susceptible to problems based on the fact you use it less than your primary drive. Here is the best answer I have found to your question: There are a couple of...

Yes you can use these for Desktop, but you will need a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket. Honestly..I have both size of these drives in the 750GB (SATAIII) and 500GB (SATAII), but I can hardly tell the...

I know what you mean! I ordered 5 WD 2TB green drives from them a year ago. All the drives were hastily wrapped in large bubble wraps with tapes twisted around them. They looked like little pillows....

BUT check your case first. Almost all cases these days have built-in brackets that are designed for 2.5in drives. With just a 4GB SSD in this drive, you won't see any appreciable improvement...
