I suppose if you feel like the 18-55 is worth $100. I never kept mine on my previous NEXs. They were big, slow and IQ was never stellar. The NEX design befits a pancake or collapsible type lens...

In any case, do you have a link for the $585 RX100? The only one I can find is BPP but they have a questionable reputation.

The NEX 18-55 is worth more than $100. The IQ is also just fine. Time and again, the tests have proved that. It's also not "big". It's the same size as other kit lenses.
