Like the poster above me said, the speed of this one is 3gb/s versus the better 6gb/s models. Check to see which speed your motherboard supports. If it supports 6gb/s then hold out for a faster drive.

This is a horrible SSD. It is NOT the same as their M4 line.
The controller in this SSD is incredibly slow. Save your $ and get something else.

Good advice. I'll add you may still see the Samsung 830 for ~$165, and it has a great track record - results won't be in on the 840 for a while.

Sorry, this is bogus response all around: 1. Even for Sata-II laptops, the performance of the better drives is still improved. Bandwidth isn't everything! 2. Reviews for *some* OCZ drives are bad....
