An SSD will not help gaming aside from faster loading times. There's not much you can do with most laptops to improve gaming performance.

Compared to the load times from a 5400 RPM HDD, I'd say that's an improvement of magnitude.

So how will this thing handle HD high bitrate videos? I would assume it would handle it fine. I'm still leaning towards a 3rd gen i3 for around $400, but no tax makes this one around $100 cheaper....

I got a cheap Acer i3 for $499 back in Mar'2010. The better clarity of its crystal eye webcam, processing speed and wake up speeds comparable to MBP surprise my wife even now..... her 2012 ultrabook...

Really depends on the type of games you want to run then, I'd guess. If they're mainly older ones, you probably shouldn't have too much trouble with them.

Fair enough. Though I've seen the info posted here enough times (even though I don't own a Discover card) to know that at many places you can stack your Discover Card cashback with ShopDiscover...
