I ended up going with the les paul traditional mahogany for $1150 delivered. I had played one locally and actually liked it better than the Les Paul Custom Classic which GC was selling for $1599....

Most of these guitars have the baked maple fretboard which is much less desirable than rosewood. These are great guitars for the price but I don't think the resale valus of these will be great...
