once you approach the $100 mark, you can start comparing to a "real" x86 computer, which would be better at just about everything...

Well primary use is to stream movies from internet and from my personal storage.
So a good browser experience and media playing capabilities.
XBMC support seems to be coming along for Android too...

raspberry pi is hardly a x86 computer, but DIY is a requirement - something like this for $60 + a $35 CPU + a stick of ddr3 ram, and you are at $105, and have a system that is 4-5 times as powerful...
