I hope so and some drive sales would be good too. I am tempted to get these Seagate 3TB drives, but I've had problems with them before and these seem to have issues too.

Seems like it is better to save the $150 and buy a Synology NAS then. Some quick search show Synology speed is much faster and better quality. Highly recommended by SDers.

I had the NAS 440 with 12TB (4x 3TB Seagate drives)... Long story short, I still have the drives, but not the NAS. Weak features, interface, and transfer speeds. The end.

I think for a "few" bucks more I'd rather build a linux box and just stick the drives in it. $510-($90x4 raw drive cost) = $140. So in the ball park of $60-$100 more you'd be set.

lots o bad reviews on the NAS, seems like an older version as well, only USB 2.0 and SATA II, for $150 there has to be a better option out there
