so glad I went with the refurb deal on t3i. The camera looks absolutely new and only 30 shutter counts. Add to that the upromise and discover card cashback..it indeed was a sweet deal.

Yes and no. The 18 200 is a mediocre lens and you have better ways of spending your money.

Get the lens for general use and to learn on. I'd pick up the 40mm pancake, too. You can sell the kit lens for $60-80 when you figure out more of what you want or need.
