So this was a "gift" from my wife to me, and I wasn't able to open it up until after Christmas..... When I installed it, its not working. When the PC boots up, I get 11 beeps at the BIOS screen...

No, Windows 8. The drive does not show up in the BIOS, either. I am not sure what options I have at this point, other than returning it. That stinks as this was a great deal.

Good job.. BTW,, on the issue of FIRMWARE My drives came with CC43 which is the Latest firmware. It is newer than CC4H, So everyone, don't worry if the firmware updater says Update failed....
