The amount of power your ram uses is negligible compared to the cpu, gpu(if present), and, in the case of laptops, the display. Adding a ram stick will not be a significant drain on battery.

Didn't have that problem on mine. Check the Power Profile for power saving on the wireless. You might want to try disabling it for testing purposes - set it to 'Performance' IIRC.

I think the SSD is only used for the cache and you can't actually put anything on it yourself. It just helps programs, apps or what have you open and run faster. I don't see why Office 10 would slow...
