Ah, pretty obvious in retrospect. For me, it's the opposite. What's great is that B&H is only a state away, so in addition to paying no tax I get orders within a day too.

Canon claims %20 better low light performance with m500. That's probably the only advantage over m40. Maybe smaller too, if you prefer that. m40 has dual card slots with relay recording vs one on...

The only other camera in the price range that can compete with the M500 is the Panasonic V700MK . I was going back and forth between the two , but for 100$ ( 25%) less i will take the canon .
