So far, from what I have found, the remote on the 6001 series is not backlit, but on the 6000 series it is. And then the panels for the 6001 series are outsourced whereas most of the 6000 series...

I compared the specs on best by of the two with my novice eyes . . . the only thing I noticed was the 6000 had Clear Motion Rate 240 Technology where the 6001 had clear Motion Rate of 120 technology....

i think the picture looks great. However, with action movies it is very hard to follow the screen. It seems pretty jittery. I don't really know what settings to adjust to straighten this out.
