Ahhh, LeapPad. You'll always hold a special place in my heart. I was able to hunt down and resell enough of these in an inflated eBay market last Christmas to pay for everything that we bought last...

IMO, the leapPad will probably survive drops and spill more but that is about the only advantage

Does anyone know how to select the color, or the different software in this bundle?

Thank you both for the responses - repped. Not sure why these cost so much when a cheap tablet is obviously a much better value.

The slowness of the Leap Pad 1 is a coomon complaint. The Leap Pad 2 which uses a more powerful processor improves performance.

I suppose it depends on the age of the child. I have a 4 year old and when they are old enough to be responsible for looking after a tablet (regardless of if that is 7, 9, or 13) There will be much...

Definitely a good deal. I got in on the Barnes and Noble deal for $69 last season. This is a good price as I don't think anything was included. - sent by iPhone App Deals & Steals 3.5.8 -

Thanks! I don't see a big enough difference in leappad 1 and 2 since I am buying for a 4 year old to justify paying extra so this is a good deal for me.

I was looking at getting one of these for my 5 year old (mostly for learning apps) but now I'm thinking it may be a better value to get a cheap tablet (like the Coby 7"). Any thoughts on why the...

It's not. A tablet will last way longer for your child because eventually they will to age where they'll realize the Leap Pad is for little kids and they'll want something cooler. Plus, apps for a...

My 3 yr old has this and it's very frustrating for him. The programs run slow, and even highly rated games like Mr. Pencil does not work fluid enough for him to enjoy it. I'd say save your money for...

Fcking walmart site would not let me checkout an hour ago and now oos. They blow. Thanks for the deal. For a three year-old, no reason to spend the extra bucks for a Leappad 2.

My first generation leappad croaked within a year and the games were super expensive, not to mention all the apps from the leapfrog website. I bought the original iPad from a family member for super...

Not bad. The App card is actually $20. The software retail value is $25 but has recently been as low as $12.50. Too bad you can't seem to choose from different titles. So you're getting the...

Because cheap tablets break and this thing can take a freaking beating and keep on going. My 4-year old dropped her Coby Kyros tablet and the glass shattered. My 4-year old and 2-year old have...

My son is 2, and he loves Leapfrog Alphabet video. So I got him a Leappad. Leappad educational games are better than those available on Android IMO. But if my son was 5, I would get him a tablet...
