Search youtube for it. A lot of times it's not low because only the printer thinks it low. If the print is very light, then it's low toner.

The TN450 -is- the high yield cartridge. If you're comparing it to another TN450 marked high yield, it's still the same thing. The TN420 IIRC is the standard version.
