No. The more credit you have and the less you use, the better your credit score. Most financial people say you should be below 7% utilization.

I agree w brian. Once you close on your home. close some cards, open some new ones. Use your awesome credit to get more $, flights, points, etc. Usually 400$+ worth of points/flights/etc is worth...

do i need to close the accountss? or can i just leave them open? wouldn't closing on the accounts be more of a negative factor than just leaving it as is?
