I read the user reviews on Amazon after I failed to make it work on my Nexus 7 -- turned out some users had the same experience but some did get theirs to work. I would not try my luck with this...

This should work. For nexus 7 u need to turn on usb debugging and use an explorer program that supports viewing the folders/files. I tried a no brand otg cable like the one posted in this deal...

In my case I did. In fact I got it to work on Galaxy Nexus but failed on Nexus 7. I bought it for the tablet so it was useless to me.
