Actually, the large rectangular style light switches are pretty standard here in my area. I know all new(er) houses have them. Go figure

I picked up 2. I hope it's easy to wire up. I have put in light fixtures before but no idea with this thing. If I'm all fried up next week sometime you will know that I did it wrong.

Maybe so, but look closely at the "cut-out" area. It's not a standard wallplate. I know, I had to buy one. Plus it's only $2.89. I'm not sure how much they are at Home Depot.

As long as you have a) a neutral line in the box and b) space in the box for this larger switch you'll be fine. Turn the breaker off first, and use a volt meter if you're ever unsure.

Says it requires a neutral wire. The white wire is neutral right? You can get wallplates anywhere but odds are if you are replacing a switch you already have one.
