From what I read there, it's the firmware "update tool" that can't be used with UEFI bios, not the firmware version itself. I guess that means updating it on another system.

It looks like Crucial is dumping these SSDs like Samsung did the 830s back in Oct. I missed out on the 830, so I may "settle" for the m4. But the firmware issues mentioned here and critical reviews...
