You'll need extra space to accommodate the 12" for sure. I usually use the largest burner I have which is smack dab in the middle of my stove :/ and that's for my 10.25 inch!

You should get this, it fits perfectly in most all gas grills as a replacement for the cheap tin metal ones they come with and rest comfortably on the front and rears edge, gotta watch the back meat...
