i have the 10. its good for 2 "had-sized" steaks... it will probably fit just 1 big t-bone steak if you plan on making those get the bigger one.
usually i get other cuts, and i trim the fat...

You'll need extra space to accommodate the 12" for sure. I usually use the largest burner I have which is smack dab in the middle of my stove :/ and that's for my 10.25 inch!
