I have watched the EE all the way through probably 6-7 times including with commentary on. A few points: *If you are trying to get someone to watch for the first time, the EEs are very long....

Picked this up from Best Buy during the Black Friday sale. Biggest disappointment: no digital copies. It was actually a big reason I bought it - should have done some more research I suppose.

Are the dvd extras on the ee the same as the extras on the blu ray theatrical version box set?

I am searching for a straight answer, but most reviews say that you have to tweak your TV settings to fix the "green tint", but c'mon i expect the BR to be clear especially when you alrady have your...

It has it and you will notcie it if you watch the theathrical side by side. But by it self you will not and it. looks great. And to answer the other person, they don't put it on one disc because they...

Of course it has it, all extendeds come from the same remaster heh. I dont know why PJ did that because it looks terrible. Some people may not care too much, as it only affects fellowship of the...

Yeah, youre wrong. I just looked up a review online of the new 2012 extended blu-ray. They covered every aspect of the release including the previous green hue colorize issue. Its still present in...

I just went to Target and picked up the individual BR movies (just going to swap out the disks from my regular DVD EEs). I looked at the $5 off coupons and I believe that it's one per ticket, and...

I have both the sticky coupon from the bluray and the printed "ticket" that you take to the theater and neither says anything about not being able to combine. The closest thing I find is "certifice...

Good deal on this set-cheapest it's ever been or likely will be. The green tint on FOTR really isn't as bad as some would have you believe, and it follows the color timing that was supposed to exist...

If you are hardcore and want to keep the set mint for collector value, you might want the extended version. If you are a casual fan like myself, I'll take the $12 set.
This is extremely weird. I know for a fact I saw much more reviews and it sitting at 3 and half stars. Now it's got 5 stars all of the sudden. What the heck?

Note: Most of the bonus features are on DVDs, not Blu-ray Discs. The feature films are on Blu-ray.
This is true and I saw it for myself the other day but I decided not to as I already have two tickets saved from a fandango deal I got for free and would had to have paid taxes with the Target deals,...

I do own them and they are the remastered. At least I don't notice them to the extent I do in the original triology pack. Tested on a calibrated Samsung D8000 plasma. Too busy to get take shots atm.

My gosh, what happened to the reviews on this extended release? It's gone from ~5 stars to 3.5 stars. This price is the lowest I've seen on this set.

Target copies do not come with anything other than the 2 disks (and the $5 hobbit money code on the front of the blu-ray)..no booklets/codes inside.
