That might be true for some people, but the LA theater is very centrally located. For a lot of people who actually live in LA, this is great location. Just my two cents.

Same question here. I was able to get two Les Mis tickets but the confirmation email doesn't mention anything about first come first serve. I've never been to a screening sponsored by AMEX so maybe...

I've been to a few of these Amex screenings (even 2 of them with free popcorn/pop) in Manhattan the past few years, although I haven't been to one recently. I arrived about a half hour early each...

These ones won't. I have been to probably 2 dozen of these Amex screenings and i can only remember it happening for 2 of them. And when it did happen, it mentioned it in the confirmation email...

It's interesting how tickets gone away by regions: NYC first in two minutes, than Boston (~15 min), than Chicago other locations don't feel like interested :)
