it's not booting your usb drive because, as was said before, it's not set to bios legacy. i installed win 7 with a USB drive, so you should be able to as well.

8 GB is probably overkill for this system. 4 GB is good for 64-bit. 2 GB should be fine if you're installing a 32-bit OS.

undervolted, i can get about 4 1/2 hours out of the thing.. but i haven't finished modifying the voltages yet. my version doesn't undervolt that much.. just got a BSOD by going from 1.15 to 1.025....

the C-60 was not slow in booting windows. maybe 25-30 seconds. it was quite zippy for what i needed it to do, with the exception of HD streaming.. but the fix i previously link should work.
