I submitted a photocopy of a Norton CD for the last TM upgrade rebate I did in October and rebate was approved with no problems. I think you should good with just sending them a photocopy of the CD....

Proof of purchase is a little flap inside the box. You send the POP with the "upgrade rebate", and the original UPC with the "product rebate."

Frys lists wrong rebate valid dates all the time, both Trend micro upgrades are good from 9/12/12 to 3/31/13, (try presubmit then you will see the valid dates) so if you bought these, you will not...
