projectors are only good for watching movies in a light controlled room. it's a heck of a lot easier, and better, to turn on a TV for casual viewing. for movie night in my media room/basement,...

3D is a gimmick, it'll be gone shortly... just like the previous 400 attempts at making 3D media. my tv has been "3D capable" since 07 when I bought the tv, way before any of these stupid 3D LCD...

Span the wall with both sets then. Remove he bezel from each set on the corresponding sides an mount flush to each other and then get a signal splitter between the 2 sets to display 1 image.

I am 13' back from my TV, which is currently a 55". It all depends on viewing distance. 55" looks small, an 80" would be about the right size for my setup.
