According to LG this is 120: http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-42LM3400-led-tv I'm no expert but I dont think you can do 3D with 60Hz, because it would reduce the rate to 30 per left/right?

24 fits into 120 evenly so you can display 24p bluray content without frame duplication (3:2 pulldown) so no judder. Passive 3D has nothing to do with the display frequency though.
