it depends According to CNET all TV's that claim they have 24p capability dont really consistently do it Generally speaking the higher end TV's( LG included) perform well in these CNET tests

It seems very YMMV, I just got off live chat with BB and the agent said they "can absolutely match Frys", in those exacts words. However it can only be done over the phone.

I don't use this BR player but my understanding is you should enable 24p with any player that supports it if your display supports it... that said I question whether this one does as it is a 60hz...

yes...but I think the 6700 is a true 120hz panel...not simulated 120hz LG doesn't disclose that in their descriptions

LG is paaive 3D so it doesn't matter as much how many hz the TV is as it shows both pictures simultaneously the entire time. This model is super low end and the price is pretty bad for this low end...

The lg lm6700 is a 60hz, lm7600 is a 120hz and the lm8600 is the only true 240hz panel lg has I believe, passive 3d does have its advantages but passive 3d you are watching the 3d movie in 540p not...

In this case, should we be turning on 24p mode in our BluRay players? 24p is supposed to only be used with 120Hz (evenly divisible), but I don't know about "fake" 120Hz. Fry's had this deal during...

It doesn't come with the free 3D Blu-ray player this time (or $52 discount on the TV if you returned it). So at least you got something extra out of the drive. Do you set your BluRay to output 24p...
