I have the HD280's. I like them for isolation, but I wouldn't say they sound better (totally different), aren't nearly as efficient for mobile use, and are definitely not as comfortable.

ksc75 have slightly different/differently coated drivers and a slightly different sound. the ksc35 which are ~$50 from koss share the same drivers as the portapro.
