Yes you can. I picked one of these up today. If you remove the black cover, it fits nicely (but snug) in the rear USB port of the original Xbox 360. Formatted capacity is about 29.5 GB.

this post helped a lot. When you're looking for it at the store, it will have the snowflakes on it like the one on the right posted by the OP. If it doesn't have snowflakes it will ring up at 49.99....

you can use this but the xbox will format it in just one 16gb partition, the rest cant be used. however, the 16gb comes out to like 14.7gb usable. so no, that wouldnt be enough space for a big game...
