i am a beginner thinking of getting a DSLR but don't know if i would need the 75-300 lens. Is it a good lens for a beginner? or should I just get one of these with the regular kit lens alone?

Most people will tell you to get OK camera and spend $$ on better lens.
In this case - The T4i is so low right now and the price different is not much VS the T3i so I think T4i is a better deal

Don't forget to factor Amazon fees as well. This is good if you want the camera and lens, not so much for a profit opportunity.

@300mm f5.6, this lens is totally useless w/o a tripod. You would be better off with the EF-S 55-250 IS II which is often included in this type of bundle.
