This card only supports up to DirectX 10.1, which means you won't get any new features from DX11 when playing newer games like BF3 or Far Cry 3. Totally not worth $100. I bought a used 5770 on...

Its pretty easy to get a HD 7770 for around $100 these days. Not sure how its double the price. Also, since you are comparing refurb to brand new: SAPPHIRE 11180-00 Radeon HD 6850 1GB Refurb =...

I agree with your opinion on mem bandwidth. I have been rocking a GTX 260 core 216 55nm for a long time and the 448 bit bus really helps the old card muscle through some seriously intensive games...

Seriously, why is this junk being touted as a deal? Gtx 280 came to market in mid 2008. I nominate this for gpu deal of the year.... for 2009. While we're at it, maybe we can start linking to...

the bandwidth of the GTX 460 is slower than that of the GTX 280. youre comparing a slower 256bit card vs a 512bit card. GTX460 = 108.8 while the GTX 280 came to 141.6....

Grats on your memory bandwidth. You have to consider the full picture when comparing two very different cards. Also, benchmarks clearly illustrate which card is better. Maybe you should take a look?

that card is very underpowered. its going to run games at medium settings at best for new games. nothing more

Comparable performance to that of a HD 7770 and double the power consumption. Not to mention the fact that this is refurbished. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536?vs=520

The price and retailer should generally be in the title. I'd edit them in.

Yeah, most people buy their videocards based upon memory bandwidth alone. Not overall performance within videogames. durrr

This card is 3-4 generations old, and ~4 1/2 years old. Maximum memory bandwidth doesn't begin to tell the real-world performance story. As others have mentioned, this card uses a LOT more power...

PassMark is the worst benchmark to go by though. 460 is slightly better performance wise. It uses half the wattage which is where it really shines. No point in buying a 280 at this price.

I'm not sure you understand that the memory bandwidth does not tell the outright performance of the card. Today's crop of cards are using around 140GBs of memory bandwidth, and they are several...

look we get what your saying and thanks for posting the deal. If someone needed something NOW this might not be too shabby, but its far from a real deal.

Believe me, the GPU of the 460 far outperforms that of the 280. Memory bandwidth aside, benchmark tests don't lie. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html But you also have to...
