If you live in CA, then this is not that good of a deal. $299 + tax = $322.17 or $0.67/GB
Last week, Beach Camera had the Crucial m4 512GB for $329 with V.me, no tax for CA. $0.64/GB

I have been comparing the prices of 240gb SSD and they have been around $110-140 when its on sale for about 9 months now.

SSD's are really still only cost-effective as boot drives, and most, aside from gamers, don't need one as big as this. If you do, then remember, there are 1TB SSDs already if money is no object.
