I believe the UPC is part of the label - kind of like a soda bottle label. You can just cut around it, or take the whole label off and get the UPC that way.

I think $2.5 is where I draw the line, you have to spend ~10-15 min messing with the rebate and no guarantee you get it trouble-free, stamp is $0.45.
