You should really look at hyundai cars. They have the best warranty. The powertrain is covered for 10 years or 100k miles. Regardless of what car you choose you should really look into...

I'm too lazy for math but I don't think in the long run a 25k prius at 50mpg is a much better deal then a 33mpg sonata at 20k.

Look at Kia as well, they are owned my Hyundai Motor Company, so a Kia is basically a Hyundai. They share powertrains. Optima = Sonata.

Kia's also are good, they have the 10 year 100k mile powertrain warranty. Hyundai or Kia, these days you can't go wrong with either company and those warranties these days.

Go try the prius, you will get over 50mpg and the price of them just dont drop. Nissan resale is amongst the worst on the other hand. Super reliable, comfortable and easy to drive.
