You should really look at hyundai cars. They have the best warranty. The powertrain is covered for 10 years or 100k miles.

Look at Kia as well, they are owned my Hyundai Motor Company, so a Kia is basically a Hyundai. They share powertrains. Optima = Sonata.

We went with the Elantra Limited with leather, alloy wheels, sunroof, heated seats, fog lights ( and boy do we need them here) ect....pushed the price up to 20k.

Kia's also are good, they have the 10 year 100k mile powertrain warranty.

Go try the prius, you will get over 50mpg and the price of them just dont drop. Nissan resale is amongst the worst on the other hand.
