I'm getting a 7.1 based on the WEI score running SATA 2. Does this look reasonable? I can't believe how fast it is. It's mind boggling compared to old mechanical drive, sheesh.

Yeah, but why pay extra for something that you can't use. SATA II drives are considerably less pricey that SATA III drives. The only good reason is for possible ungrading in the future.

There is no reason not to use this SATA III drive in everything you have. I have one in my desktop which is SATA II. And one in my old Sony laptop, running at SATA I. Even still, it boots Windows...
