I would love to get a cheap wqhd TN monitor below the $300 range that isn't a B product from Korea. I don't want or need IPS color precision. I can only dream.

I have a 27" Planar that is 1080p, and it is perfectly fine. Unless you need to do some sort of extreme editing, then you won't even notice the difference.

Only thing that scares me are those reviews on the egg where people mentioned that the monitor didn't last 2-3 years. That's a really short turnaround time imo.

I suppose there aren't.. But thinking about it, I'm really not sure why 1920x1080 on a 27" is even popular.. You might as well spring for a TV, if you want a larger screen, while losing out on pixel...

Im not sure, looks good to me too... Are the HannsG and the Asus same panel.. look exactly same parts in both even marketing photos and such anybody know?

You have to consider it's $200 right now, not the close to $300 it was reviewed at. There aren't many 27" monitors priced at $200...are there?
