I thought the basic purolator was paper. The Pure One was synthetic, and nabs 99.9% of the gunk. I think the basic one only does 97%?

Kinda of agree. I remember reading some analysis by some oil filter expert. He stated that OEM are better than FRAM, but Mobile 1 and Bosch are the best. I snagged 3 of these last time.

You don't know how many miles a filter will work until you do oil analysis. I used Mobil 1 extended drain oil and a fram double guard 7500 mile filter and sent the oil in at 7500 miles to blackstone...
